FINANCIAL INFORMATION AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

Our Draper Smiles team, as a courtesy, will gladly processes insurance claims and will perform a general verification of your dental benefits and eligibility. In order to make your visit as smooth as possible, please provide us with your insurance information before you arrive, preferably, at the time of scheduling to avoid any unwanted billing surprises.

We are happy to bill to all traditional insurance plans, and for your convenience, we are also preferred providers for the vast majority of main insurance plans.

You are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated.

Even if we are not preferred providers with your specific dental benefits provider, all PPO plans (no HMO), will provide benefits the similar way as if we were providers.

Unlike medicine, most dental benefit plans provide flexibility for you to choose the provider you would like to trust with your dental care.

FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS

You may choose from a variety of ways to make a payment to facilitate access to the very best dental care available–cash, money orders, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Flex spending or Health Savings (HSA) cards.

INTEREST FREE FINANCING

Some of our patients opt to entirely finance their dental care or seek additional funds for treatments their dental insurance doesn’t cover.
Some financial institutions we work closely with (ALPHAEON CREDIT and CARE CREDIT) offer up to 2 years, INTEREST FREE financing.

We oftentimes secure approval for credit by filling out a quick form right in the office. We will be happy to assist you in exploring these options. Our goal is to make it easier for you to achieve the smile and oral health you want, and at the same time, work within your budget.

A WORD ABOUT "DENTAL INSURANCE"

Our accounting department will prepare all of the necessary forms for this important benefit. However, we remind you that your policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company; not between your insurance company and our office. We can make no guarantee of any estimated coverage, but we’ll do our best to see that you receive your maximum benefits. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. If you would like to know what your expected coverage will be, we will submit a pre-treatment estimate. Your insurer will generally send a detailed response (which is also an estimative) within 4-6 weeks but this response itself does not guarantee payment from your insurance carrier when treatment claims are submitted.

STEP BY STEP TREATMENT PLAN

We at Draper Smiles understand that there are a variety of circumstances preclude some of our guests to achieving the smile and oral health they want as fast as they would desire. We will work closely with you to sequence your treatment in smaller steps so you can achieve the final result you desire but in a way that you fit your budget the best way possible.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY AND INSURANCE

Cosmetic dental procedures are generally not covered by most dental insurance policies; however, partial benefits are often available if the teeth are broken or have previous dental fillings, bonding, or crowns. Also, most insurance companies will pay approximately 80% of the cost for silver fillings on posterior (molar and bicuspid) teeth. If a more expensive porcelain or tooth colored filling material is used, the insurance company may still pay their percentage based on the cost of the less expensive silver filling. We recommend looking into our Dental Savings plan for savings in our world-class cosmetic and implant dentistry.
